Narrative Storyteller
Hello. I'm Lawrence Hwang, a NY-based creative producer, casting director, actor, and founder of Stellar City Productions LLC.
I was born and raised in Brooklyn, where I still live and create. I first fell in love with acting as a young man. As the years passed, I found myself just as enchanted by the creative work that happens off camera: casting, producing, and helping stories come to life.
I realized what I love most isn't just performing; it's the stories, people, and the alchemy of turning dreams into reality.
At my core, I’m a romantic and a passionate collaborator. I live to create, to connect, and to champion others’ visions while developing my own.
But, more than anything, I take great joy in being part of something greater than myself and a creative looking to tell the timeless complexities, beauties, and challenges of being a human.
My favorite films include Your Name, Midnight in Paris, and Léon: The Professional.
My favorite Broadway shows include Maybe Happy Ending and Purpose.
When I'm not creating, you can find me catching a Broadway show, strolling through the streets of NY with a cup of coffee, reading poetry in a sunny park, enjoying a glass of tea, or indulging in literature with a glass of red wine.
I built Stellar City Productions to serve the stories of humanity, and I built this life to serve the people who tell them.
